About Me

I’m a UKCP-accredited systemic psychotherapist with a background in therapeutic social work. From early on, I was drawn to a career that would allow me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, which led me to specialise in family and systemic psychotherapy.

My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and grounded in systemic theory. I work with individuals, couples, and families, placing great emphasis on building strong, trusting relationships. Empathy, curiosity, and humour are key to my relational style, helping to create a safe space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

I have worked extensively with children, young people, and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, social, and learning difficulties. My clinical experience includes roles at Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Brandon Centre, the Tavistock Centre, and within Local Authority services.

In my private practice, I provide therapy for self-referred clients as well as those referred by professionals and agencies. I also offer specialist assessments and clinical formulations for children and adolescents referred by children's services.

In addition to my clinical work, I provide supervision and training for professionals in the fields of mental health and social care.

I see clients in person at my practice in Richmond and also offer online sessions.

About Me

With over 20 years of experience as a social worker and systemic psychotherapist, I’ve long been passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges. Early in my career, I believed I could change the world — and while that ideal has evolved over time, I’ve learned that helping individuals and families make meaningful changes, both big and small, can be just as powerful.

My interest in how we relate to ourselves and others led me to train in family and systemic psychotherapy at the Prudence Skynner Clinic, a service specialising in work with families and couples where an adult is experiencing psychological distress. This training deepened my belief in the value of collaborative, strengths-based therapy rooted in systemic thinking.

I’m energised by working with people and committed to helping clients explore their experiences, identify patterns, and discover new ways forward. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a strong relational focus to my work.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families across London and Surrey, supporting a wide range of emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties. I also work closely with professionals and services to provide integrated, thoughtful care.

I offer sessions in Kingston upon Thames and Chelsea, and online.

ART THERAPY

About Me

Our personal journeys are shaped by our experiences — both joyful and challenging. These moments influence how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us. At times, experiences can be difficult to process emotionally and physically, but when explored in a safe and supportive space, they can offer opportunities for insight, healing, and growth.

As an Art Psychotherapist accredited by the UK Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) and a registered member of the British Association for Art Therapist (BAAT) and European Federation of Art Therapy (EFAT) I offer a creative and conversational space where thoughts and feelings can be explored with curiosity and care. I believe that art-making can offer a powerful way to express emotions that may feel difficult to put into words. No previous experience with art is necessary — just a willingness to explore.

My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic and client-centred, with a strong emphasis on cultural sensitivity. I tailor my work to the unique needs of each person and place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the process. Confidentiality, trust, and patience are central to how I work.

I have experience supporting both children and adults in psychiatric and educational settings, including those living with emotional and mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, brain injuries, and life-limiting conditions. Alongside my clinical work, I maintain an active art practice and remain committed to ongoing professional development.

I offer individual therapy sessions online and in both English and Arabic, depending on what feels most comfortable for the client.

To help you decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. This is an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about how I work, and begin exploring what brings you to therapy.

Feel free to get in touch to arrange a consultation — I’d be glad to hear from you.
