in Relationship

Is this for you?
You don't need to be in crisis
to want to know yourself better

This group is for people who are curious — about why they keep ending up in the same patterns, about where their beliefs came from, about what kind of relationships they really want. It is a supported, reflective space where you can do meaningful work alongside others doing the same.

You notice patterns you can't quite break

In relationships, at work, with family — the same dynamics keep appearing, even when you are trying your best.

You want to understand where you came from

The beliefs and rules you absorbed growing up — and which ones are still running your life without your permission.

You feel unseen, or unsure of who you are

There is a gap between who you feel you are inside and how others seem to experience you — and you want to close it.

You want to change how you show up

Not a dramatic transformation — just more moments of genuine choice rather than automatic reaction.

You are curious but not ready for individual therapy

A group feels like a gentler entry point — you can reflect and learn without the intensity of one-to-one work.

You want to feel less alone in your experience

One of the most powerful things a group offers is recognising that your most private struggles are shared by others.

Your help so far has been beyond what I could have hoped for — and really opened my eyes to how impactful systemic psychotherapy can be.

What you will explore
Eight sessions.
One unfolding story.

Each session builds on the last. Between sessions, guided reflective tools help you notice what is alive for you — so you arrive at each group with real material to work with.

Sessions 1 & 2 · Foundation
Who am I?

Meeting yourself and the group. Each person shares their self-portrait — strengths, patterns, emotional world. Building trust and a shared language.

Sessions 3 & 4 · Origins
Where did I come from?

Exploring invisible scripts and rules absorbed from family and culture — the beliefs we live by without having chosen them.

Sessions 5 & 6 · Identity
Who am I in the world?

Exploring dimensions of identity — gender, class, culture, age and more — and how they shape our experience of belonging and power.

Sessions 7 & 8 · Change
How do I change?

Each person works with a specific relational pattern they want to shift. The group witnesses, reflects, and helps find a different way forward.

How it works
Structured, supported,
at your own pace
1
Before you begin
You receive your tools

When you join you receive the Who Am I, Really? self-awareness tool and the Feelings Diary. You complete the self-awareness tool in your own time before the first session — this becomes your starting point and self-portrait for the group.

2
Every fortnight
The group meets online

90 minutes, online, with 4–6 people and a trained systemic therapist. The group is confidential and carefully held. Each session has a focus but follows where the group needs to go. You will never be pushed to share more than you are ready to.

3
Between sessions
The tools hold the continuity

Between each session you use the Feelings Diary to track what you notice, and complete a short fortnightly reflection sheet. You arrive at each group with real material — not just vague impressions.

4
After the programme
You continue the journey

You leave with a complete self-awareness portrait, a reflection practice, and access to a growing resource library. Many people choose to continue with individual therapy, a second cohort, or simply keep using the tools independently.

Questions
Things people
often want to know
No. This group is designed to be accessible whether you have had therapy before or never considered it. The tools provide a gentle, structured entry point, and the group moves at a pace that works for everyone.
This is a psychoeducational and reflective group — therapeutic in nature but not the same as individual therapy. It is a supported space for self-reflection, learning, and relational growth. If deeper support feels right, we can discuss individual therapy alongside or after the group.
We ask that you attend as many sessions as possible — the group builds continuity and each person's presence matters. If you need to miss a session, please let us know in advance. We will share a brief summary of key themes from any session you miss. Missing more than two sessions is not recommended.
Confidentiality is central to the group agreement, which all members sign before joining. What is shared in the group stays in the group. Standard exceptions apply where safety concerns require disclosure — these are explained clearly before the first session.
We are currently building the waiting list for the first cohort. The group begins as soon as we have enough members — typically 4 to 6 people. Once you register, we will be in touch to confirm your place, discuss timing, and schedule a brief orientation call before the first session.
Yes — in fact this combination can be very powerful. Individual therapy and group work address different dimensions of the self. If you are working with a therapist outside The London Therapy Clinic, we simply ask that you let them know you are joining a group, as a matter of good practice.
